Who We Are & What We Do

About Us

The Miramonte Parents’ Club is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization staffed entirely by dedicated parent volunteers. We are working hard to create the kind of community we want for all of our families and students – a kind, safe, and supportive environment where each student can work toward intellectual, social, and personal growth.

We believe that supportive parental involvement and a strong partnership with our school administration are both integral to creating a positive and nurturing school community for all. To that end, we work collaboratively with Miramonte’s outstanding administrators, teachers, and students and with AUHSD to enrich the Miramonte educational experience. To accomplish this enrichment goal, we raise funds for educational support and provide thousands of volunteer hours every year for student programs and activities that otherwise would not be available at a public school.

How We Fund Miramonte Excellence

In the spring of 2020, the six parents’ clubs of the six Orinda schools came together to create the Orinda Network for Education (ONE). Our ONE-Miramonte budget is proposed by Principal Campopiano (in consultation with Miramonte teachers and staff) and Parents' Club leadership, is approved by the Miramonte Parents’ Club, and is the responsibility of the Parents’ Club to fundraise for. The budget reflects what our school needs to supplement state funding so that Miramonte can preserve our seven-period day, fund 14 additional class sections, maintain small class sizes, offer a robust College and Career Center, fully staff our Wellness center, provide AP classes, and deliver the academic programs that make Miramonte one of the best schools in the state. All donations to ONE-Miramonte benefit 100% of Miramonte students.

For the current school year, the Parents’ Club has committed to raising $1,300 per student. We hope you will join us in supporting Miramonte as we continue the tradition of Miramonte Excellence in academics, athletics, arts, and service to our community that our school has enjoyed since 1955. See our Fundraising Webpage for more information.

How You Can Help: Volunteer!

Miramonte relies on its parent community for expertise, resources, and volunteer time. We have so many enthusiastic parents who generously give their time to foster our tight-knit Miramonte community, and we always welcome new volunteers! There are many opportunities to help with varying degrees of time commitment and flexibility. Sign up using this form for the 2023-2024 school year if you'd like to roll up your sleeves and lend a hand, contact any board member for volunteer information, or watch for volunteer sign-up opportunities in the weekly Matador News.

Attend a Parents' Club Meeting

Miramonte Parents' Club meetings are open to all Miramonte parents and guardians and provide an opportunity to keep abreast of what’s going on at Miramonte. You’ll hear from Miramonte and AUHSD administrators and learn about school-wide initiatives and district updates, meet faculty and staff, and receive updates from Parents' Club leadership. We would love to have you join us!
